Who is responsible for customs?

Users are fully responsible for ensuring all items comply with customs and airline laws in all relevant countries. TravelCargo provides no compliance checking or legal guidance.

What items are prohibited?

Weapons, drugs, hazardous materials, counterfeit goods, large amounts of cash, live animals, perishable foods, prescription drugs without prescriptions, and anything requiring special permits. Carrying prohibited items can result in criminal charges for both sender and traveler.

How do travelers get paid?

TravelCargo does not process payments. Travelers and senders agree on compensation directly — cash, bank transfer, or digital payment apps are common methods.

Is TravelCargo responsible if a package gets lost?

TravelCargo is EXCLUSIVELY a technology intermediary platform that:

TravelCargo explicitly DOES NOT:

Handle, transport, or take custody of packages
Verify package contents or legal compliance
Provide courier, postal, or delivery services

2. User Eligibility & Requirements

To use TravelCargo, you must:

Be at least 18 years old
Have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements

SENDERS are fully responsible for:

Obtaining necessary permits and declarations
Providing accurate item descriptions and values
Verifying items are not prohibited or restricted
Arranging appropriate insurance coverage
All legal consequences from package contents

TRAVELERS are fully responsible for:

Verifying package contents before acceptance
Ensuring compliance with airline regulations
Making required customs declarations
Refusing suspicious or prohibited items
All legal consequences from carrying packages
Personal safety and security measures

4. Prohibited Activities

Users are strictly prohibited from:

Transporting illegal, dangerous, or prohibited items
Violating customs, immigration, or transportation laws
Engaging in money laundering or tax evasion
Using the platform for commercial courier services
Misrepresenting package contents or personal information
Harassing, threatening, or defrauding other users
Attempting to circumvent platform security measures

5. Complete Liability Exclusion

THE PLATFORM OPERATOR ASSUMES NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR:

Lost, damaged, stolen, or delayed packages
Legal consequences from transporting prohibited items
Criminal charges, fines, or legal penalties
Customs violations, seizures, or penalties
Financial losses or disputes between users
Personal injury, safety incidents, or security breaches
Platform availability, technical issues, or data loss
User conduct, fraud, or misrepresentation
Third-party actions or government interventions

Users expressly acknowledge and accept ALL risks associated with using this platform.

6. Dispute Resolution

All disputes must be resolved directly between users. The platform does not mediate, arbitrate, or resolve conflicts. Users are encouraged to:

11. Travel Companion Feature

The Travel Companion feature is a free, goodwill, community tool to connect families with travelers willing to accompany a parent on a flight. It is not a professional care, medical, or escort service.

You acknowledge that:

Companions are volunteers, not employees or agents of TravelCargo, and are not vetted as caregivers.
Families retain full responsibility for their parent's safety, care, and travel decisions.
By posting a request you confirm you are authorized to share the parent's details and your contact information, which will be visible to logged-in members who offer to help.
TravelCargo is not a party to any companion arrangement and assumes no liability for any act, omission, injury, loss, or damage arising from it.

10. Terms Acceptance

By using TravelCargo, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use the platform.
