Your Legal Responsibilities as a Traveler

CRIMINAL LIABILITY WARNING

As a traveler carrying packages, you can face:

  • Criminal charges for smuggling or drug trafficking (up to 15+ years prison)
  • Heavy fines (€10,000 to €100,000+)
  • Permanent criminal record affecting employment and travel
  • Asset seizure and forfeiture
  • Travel bans and deportation
  • Civil liability for damages to third parties

⚠️ "I didn't know what was in the package" is NOT a legal defense in most countries.

📋 MANDATORY Legal Obligations:

  • Physical Inspection - You MUST personally inspect ALL package contents before accepting
  • Legal Compliance - Ensure all items comply with airline, customs, and transportation laws
  • Customs Declarations - Make all required declarations to customs authorities
  • Research Restrictions - Understand import/export laws for ALL countries involved

Items You Must NEVER Carry

NEVER accept packages containing:

  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives
  • Illegal drugs and controlled substances
  • Hazardous materials and chemicals
  • Counterfeit or pirated goods
  • Large amounts of cash (over €10,000)
  • Live animals or biological materials
  • Perishable food items

⚠️ Carrying ANY of these items can result in immediate arrest and serious criminal charges.

Mandatory Safety Guidelines

Before Accepting ANY Package:

  • Verify the sender's identity and account verification status
  • Request detailed item descriptions and photos
  • Research customs and legal requirements for all items
  • Meet only in safe, public locations
  • Physically inspect ALL package contents
  • Document the handover with photos and written agreements

RED FLAGS - Refuse These Requests:

  • Sealed packages you cannot inspect
  • Unusually high payment offers
  • Urgent or pressured requests
  • Vague or incomplete item descriptions
  • Requests to lie to customs or authorities
  • Items wrapped to hide contents
  • Meetings in isolated or private locations
  • Senders who avoid direct communication

Mandatory Package Inspection Process

You MUST follow this inspection process for EVERY package:

  1. Visual Inspection - Examine the exterior packaging for damage or suspicious signs
  2. Content Verification - Open and physically inspect ALL contents
  3. Documentation Check - Verify items match sender descriptions exactly
  4. Legal Assessment - Confirm items are legal in ALL relevant countries
  5. Value Verification - Ensure declared values are accurate for customs
  6. Photo Documentation - Take photos of all items for your records
  7. Written Agreement - Document what you're carrying and agreed compensation

If ANYTHING seems suspicious or unclear, REFUSE the package immediately.

If you discover illegal items or suspicious activity:
